Thermal Imaging Modules for FPV Integration
For FPV builders and system integrators, the camera is one part of a complete video chain. Select a thermal module by checking its output, power requirements, optics and mechanical fit against your receiver, display and transmission equipment.
Thermal and low-light imaging
Thermal modules display infrared contrast. A low-light camera captures visible-light imagery and relies on the lighting available in the scene. Our 1500TVL FPV Night Vision Camera is a visible-light option; it is separate from the thermal module range.
Compare the available thermal modules
The HN-MINI640 combines a 640 × 512 detector with simultaneous CVBS and USB output. The HN-MINI384 has a 384 × 288 detector and CVBS / USB interfaces. Their listed lenses provide different fields of view, so resolution alone is not enough to choose between them.
Integration checklist
- Confirm video standard, signal level, wiring and compatibility with your receiving device.
- Use a power rail within the selected module’s input range; check ripple and grounding.
- Evaluate the complete video chain for end-to-end latency. No latency figure is specified here.
- Check field of view and the specified 2 m minimum focus distance against your operating scene.
- Plan mounting, cable strain relief and protection appropriate to the platform.
